31st Annual Quilt Raffle Winner

from draw held on

September 14, 2009 is

Beverly Taylor from Toronto.

  *******************************************

Our thanks to everyone who visited our

Seeds of Hertiage booth at the CNE!!

Again this year, the Society participated in the

Sowing the Seeds of Heritage at the CNE in Toronto.

Our theme dealt with the means by which farm produce went to the market

and we featured some of our Museum artifacts.

Thanks to Society members Ted, Ray, Cheryl, Edith, Kim and Trevor for their participation.

Congratulations

Sunderland Historical Society on 20 years of service to the Sunderland

community and on winning the Dorothy Duncan Award.

Congratulations

At the meeting of Brock Township Council on March 30, our Trevor Beatty was

awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Young Heritage Leaders Award

by His Worship, Mayor O’Connor, on behalf of

The Honourable Lincoln Alexander, Chairman, Ontario Heritage Trust.

This is an important volunteer award, and Trevor was a deserving

recipient for his leadership efforts with the Historical Society and

in preserving Cannington’s history.
